The power of repentance leads to healing and deliverance. You may be embroiled in sin and think to yourself there is no way back. Well, I have got news for you, there is. You may keep repeating the same sin and say it is no use I give up. Do not give up but put your faith in the Lord Jesus who died and paid the price of you sin on the cross. Humble yourself before the Lord and Confess what you are doing wrong, and repent and God will cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9
New King James Version

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

I am speaking from experience. Throughout my life God has been cleansing me up. It has a posh name, called sanctification which is a lifetime journey. Throughout my Christian life I have been taught to keep a clean slate. The word says, we are to be holy as He is holy.

1 Peter 1:15-17
New King James Version

15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”

17 And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your [a]stay here in fear;

There is power in repentance, there is power in turning away from sin and not have any regrets about your past. When you repent God will forgive as well as forget. And when we do that, we are Justified by faith, or as I like to say It’s just if I’d never sinned.
